Peningkatan Kualitas Komunikasi Keluarga melalui Temu Kapasitas Penguatan Anak dan Keluarga

Abstract

This community service initiative is regularly conducted by LKSA Kasih Ibu (Bengkulu City) for children under its care who live outside the institution; the activity is titled "Child and Family Capacity Building Meeting" (TEPAK). It aims to strengthen bonds among the children, their parents or guardians, and the LKSA administrators. The primary topic of this specific TEPAK session was improving the quality of interpersonal communication between parents and children. The event took place in Babatan Village, Seluma Regency, with 24 children and 24 mothers/guardians participating. Held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, the activity was facilitated by three lecturers from UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu, two social workers, two students from the University of Bengkulu, and five administrators from LKSA Kasih Ibu. The program employed an assessment method conducted by social workers, followed by a lecture delivered by a UIN FAS Bengkulu lecturer, and concluded with a discussion and Q&A session. Games and ice-breaking activities were interspersed throughout the event. The activity proceeded smoothly, evidenced by the participants' enthusiasm throughout the entire program, from the opening to the closing.
